Warranty
We have placed quality at the center of our product development. It is the Possenia Promise.
If your Possenia item has a defect or workmanship issue, we will refund you fully up to 2 years after purchase. Simply get in touch.
Pilling in of itself isn't a workmanship defect and also will naturally occur over time but will occur very quickly if you do not adhere to care instructions.
Our warranty doesn't currently extend to products that have been damaged through crashes or failure to adhere to care instructions.
However, if you recently hit the tarmac, please send us a few pictures of your damaged kit and proof of order. We will see if it is possible to either repair your item for a small cost or offer you a good discount to replace your item.
Understanding Product Coverage: Manufacturing Defects vs. Wear and Tear vs. Improper Use
When it comes to the durability of your clothing, it's important to understand the differences between manufacturing defects, normal wear and tear, and damage resulting from improper use. Each has different implications for warranty coverage.
What Are Manufacturing Defects?
Manufacturing defects are issues that arise from flaws in the construction, design, or materials of the garment. These defects are present before you even begin using the product, though they may not be immediately visible. Such issues only become apparent once you start using the item.
Examples of Manufacturing Defects:
- Stitches failing or coming undone
- Velcro, snaps, or other closures malfunctioning
- Missing or broken drawstrings and cords
- Unusual delamination of fabrics or seam tape
- Rips or tears that appear along seams or critical junctions due to poor construction
Warranty Coverage:
Yes, manufacturing defects are fully covered by our warranty. For Possenia, this coverage extends for two years from the date of purchase.
What Is Wear and Tear?
Wear and tear refers to the natural deterioration of materials and components that occurs over time with regular use. This is expected and happens gradually as the product is used in its intended manner.
Examples of Wear and Tear:
- Fading of colors
- Softening or thinning of fabrics
- Minor abrasions or pilling
- Gradual loss of waterproofing or insulation
Warranty Coverage:
Wear and tear is not covered under the warranty, as it is considered a natural outcome of using the product as intended.
What About Damage from Improper Use?
Damage caused by using the product in ways it wasn’t designed for or by neglecting proper care instructions falls under improper use. This type of damage is not covered by our warranty.
Examples of Improper Use Damage:
- Tears from snagging on sharp objects
- Burns from exposure to excessive heat
- Damage from improper cleaning or care (e.g., not following washing instructions)
- Overstretching or forcing closures beyond their intended capacity
Warranty Coverage:
Damage resulting from improper use is not covered by our warranty. Proper care and use according to the product guidelines are essential to maintaining your warranty. However, we understand that sometimes, an accident can happen which leads to damage of your product. Please get in touch with us to see if there is something that can be done to help you.
